TAX CALCULATION & EXEMPTIONS



TAX CALCULATION: Sale Tax, where applicable, will be calculated and added at the end of the auction.



TAX EXEMPTION: Where taxes are applicable (see the Buyer’s Certificate), Tax Exempt documents must be provided to GovDeals Bidder Services at tax@govdeals.com within 24 hours of the auctions close and before payment is made. Bidders are encouraged to submit their Tax Exempt Documentation prior to the Auction’s close to expedite this process. Please contact GovDeals Bidder Services for all tax exemption questions.

Purchases will be released only upon receipt of payment as specified. Instructions about removal will be sent to the Buyer once payment has been verified between GovDeals and Greenville County.
The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. The Buyer will be responsible for any damage caused by removal and the removal process. No assistance will be provided by Greenville County. Under no circumstances will Greenville County assume responsibility for packing, loading, shipping, damage caused, or any injury as a result of the removal and removal process. The buyer will release, waive, and discharge the County of Greenville, officers, representatives, agents and any employee of the County of Greenville, from any and all liability of any nature for any damages or injury suffered by buyer or caused by the buyer while participating in this removal.
All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of the close of the auction. A daily storage fee of $10.00 may be charged for any item not removed within the 10 business days allowed as stated on the Buyer’s Certificate.
Appointments for removal must be made at least 24 hours in advance. If no appointment is made, item will not be released. Removal is available Tuesday-Thursday, excluding County holidays, by appointment only. Weekend removal is NOT available. If using third party transporter, please make them aware of our removal hours and procedures. Third party transporters must have paper copy of buyer’s certificate for vehicle to be released.
