This lot includes: Engine, 3 passenger cars, and 1128 ft of track (still intact) Engine has a 4 cylinder Wisconsin gas motor – Engine is 9 ft long Passenger car #1 – 15 ft long Passenger car #2 – 16 ft long Passenger car #3 – 17 ft long

Will crank, run, and operate.

Engine and passenger cars have been housed in a building out of the weather.

This train has NOT been operated in over 4 years.

The successful bidder will be responsible for removing the engine, passenger cars, and the entire set of tracks from Spartanburg County’s property in accordance with the removal instructions listed below.

The successful bidder will be responsible for any personal or property damages that may occur during the removal of the purchased items. The removal site is located in an area with public access. The successful bidder will be responsible for securing the site during the removal of the items they have purchased and at any time those items are located on the site.

The successful bidder will be required to provide a current “General Liability” as well as an “Auto” policy, meet the state requirements for “Worker’ Compensation”, and list Spartanburg County as an “Additional Insured” on each policy through the completion of the removal operation. This documentation will be required at the conclusion of the auction prior to payment for review and approval.

The successful bidder agrees that if any items removed are subsequently used in public or otherwise promoted in public, no reference to Spartanburg County, Cleveland Park or any names previously used by Spartanburg County for such items may be used.

The successful bidder agrees to refer to Spartanburg County Administrator’s Office with any inquiries regarding the items being removed from the site.

Payments shall be made at the location listed in the Buyer’s Certificate.

RemovalRemoval
Removal – All items must be removed within 10 business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer’s Certificate. Purchases will be released only upon receipt of payment as specified. Successful bidders are responsible for loading and removal and any and all property awarded to them from the place where the property is located as indicated on the website and in the Buyer’s Certificate. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading, and transportation of the property. Under no circumstances will Spartanburg County assume responsibility of packing, loading, or shipping. Property may be removed between the hours of 8:30am and 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays.
