These are 50 ft & 100 ft hoses with varying diameters of 1 ¾, 2 ½, 3, and 5 inches. They have FAILED annual hose testing.

Equipment may be inspected from 8:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. and from 1:00 P.M. – 3:30 P.M. Monday through Friday. Inspections are by appointment only. Contact Mark Agosto at 919-969-5143 for more information. Visitors will be asked COVID-19 screening questions when scheduling appointments. Once on site, masks and social distancing are required. Town facilities are closed to the public.

The Town of Chapel Hill makes no assurances about the condition of items offered for sale at auction. All items are sold as-is-where-is. It is the responsibility of the buyer to inspect items before bidding.

If the winning bidder will be sending a third party to pick up the asset in their stead, they must fill out the attached Authorization of Release form, along with the Bill of Sale and return it to Zakia Alam at zalam@townofchapelhill.org with a copy of their Driver's License prior to scheduling the removal of this asset.

TAX CALCULATION & EXEMPTIONS


TAX CALCULATION: Sale Tax, where applicable, will be calculated and added at the end of the auction.

TAX EXEMPTION: Where taxes are applicable (see the Buyer's Certificate), Tax Exempt documents must be provided to Bidder Services at tax@govdeals.com within 24 hours of the auctions close and before payment is made. Bidders are encouraged to submit their Tax Exempt Documentation prior to the Auction's close to expedite this process. Please contact Bidder Services for all tax exemption questions.

RemovalRemoval
Removal. All items must be removed within 10 business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer’s Certificate. Purchases will be released only upon receipt of payment as specified. Successful bidders are responsible for loading and removal and any and all property awarded to them from the place where the property is located as indicated on the website and in the Buyer’s Certificate. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. Under no circumstances will Town of Chapel Hill assume responsibility for packing, loading or shipping. Property may be removed between the hours of 9:00a.m. and 3:00p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays. A daily storage fee of $10.00 may be charged for any item not removed within the 10 business days allowed and stated on the Buyer’s Certificate.

All property is offered for sale “AS IS, WHERE IS.” (Seller) makes no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability or fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale. Please note that upon removal of the property, all sales are final.

Description Warranty. Seller warrants to the Buyer that the property offered for sale will conform to its description. Any claim for misdescription must be made prior to removal of the property. If Seller confirms that the property does not conform to the description, Seller will keep the property and refund any money paid. The liability of the seller shall not exceed the actual purchase price of the property.
