Bidders must adhere to the inspection dates and times indicated in the item description. The responsibility to determine the condition of the property rests with the bidder. Prospective bidders are encouraged to inspect the property prior to bidding, and to place bids based solely on their personal inspection and evaluation. Prospective bidders will not be allowed to test, operate or disassemble any item featured in an auction.

The Buyer’s Certificate will contain information to schedule payment & removal.
Payment in full is due not later than seven (7) working days (Monday through Friday) from the time and date of the Notice of Award unless a clause is indicated in the sale notice. No property may be removed by the purchaser prior to making full payment. Payment shall be in the exact amount only in the form of:
Credit or Debit Card (Processing fees will be added)
Cash (U.S. currency only)
Cashier’s Check
Certified Check
Money Order
Checks and money orders shall be made payable to: State of Indiana. Payments are accepted only at the Indiana State Surplus warehouse at 601 W. McCarty Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46225. Payment is accepted Monday thru Thursday 8:00am to 3:00pm with a short break for lunch between 12:00pm to 12:30pm. Friday payments are accepted 8:00am to 12:00pm. If paying by MAIL, send your payment to the same address, along with a photo copy of your Driver’s License or BMV ID. Also, if you intend to send a designated representative or common carrier to pick up the property, include a signed letter of authorization identifying the representative or carrier and personal identification such as a Driver’s License or BMV ID.

All property is located in the Indiana State Surplus warehouse at 601 W. McCarty Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN unless otherwise stated in the auction description. The Buyer, designated representative, or common carrier must provide a copy of the email award notification received from GovDeals and personal identification such as a Drivers License or BMV ID.

All items must be removed within 7 working days (Monday through Friday) from the date of issuance of the Notice of Award unless a clause is indicated in the sale notice. Property will be released only upon receipt of full payment as specified.

Successful bidders are responsible for removal of any and all property awarded to them from the address shown above.

Indiana State Surplus personnel will assist in loading property if requested by the Buyer. Under no circumstances will anyone other than Indiana State Surplus personnel be allowed to operate material handling equipment on State property.

The State of Indiana will not be responsible for any personal injuries or damages to any vehicle or other equipment during the loading of property.

The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary for packing and transportation of the property. Under no circumstances will Indiana State Surplus assume responsibility for packing or shipping. Property may be removed between the hours of 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays or unless otherwise stated on the auction web site.

• The buyer has fourteen business days from the time and date of the Notice of Award to inspect, pay for, and take possession of the item by physically removing the item from the state’s premises, and

• a paid asset left in the possession of the state for more than fourteen business days is deemed to be the buyer’s property that the buyer has abandoned, and

• abandoned property left in the state’s possession will be disposed of at the state’s sole discretion with no possibility of a refund to the buyer.

Guaranty Waiver. All property is offered for sale 'AS IS, WHERE IS.' Indiana State Surplus makes no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability or fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale. Please note that upon removal of the property, all sales are final.

Description Warranty. Seller warrants to the Buyer that the property offered for sale will conform to its description. Any claim for misdescription must be made prior to removal of the property. If Seller confirms that the property does not conform to the description, Seller will keep the property and refund any money paid. The liability of the seller shall not exceed the actual purchase price of the property.
