Auto-bid

As a bidder, you don't have to constantly watch auctions and worry about being outbid! All GovDeals Internet Auctions feature an auto-bid. In the bid box on the auction view page, enter the HIGHEST dollar amount that you are willing to pay, and the GovDeals bidding system will bid on your behalf by placing a bid at the current LOWEST minimum bid. If another bidder outbids your LOWEST minimum bid, the system will automatically place another bid, once again making you the current high bidder, until your "top dollar" number is reached. The auto-bidding system will continue to place the LOWEST minimum bids on your behalf until you are the winner of the auction or another bidder bids higher than your auto-bid. Auto-bids are completely private and are never displayed to other bidders. In the event of a reserve price auction, your auto-bid will immediately bid up to the amount of the reserve OR to the max amount of your auto-bid if the reserve price is in excess of your auto-bid.

Bid Extension

If a bid is placed during the final 3 minutes of an auction, the auction's current end time will automatically extend for additional 3 minutes. This will continue until no bids are placed during the last three minutes.

Since most bidding occurs during the final minutes of an auction, this allows all bidders a sufficient amount of time to continue bidding.

Probation Level 1 Bidding

This Seller has instituted a Bidder Probation Restriction on this auction. To have this restriction removed, a $1,000 refundable deposit in the form of a Certified Cashier's Check or U.S. Postal Money Order must be mailed to GovDeals, Inc., 100 Capitol Commerce Boulevard, Suite 110, Montgomery, AL 36117. Once 60 days have passed GovDeals will return this bid deposit.

Selling a used battery-powered floor scrubber. The unit has a drum brush and vacuum unit to pick up the used water. The unit has not been used for over two years so it is unknown if there are any operating issues but it appears the unit did work until it was no longer used. Equipment can be inspected at the City of Solon Fire Station #1, 5595 Harper Road, during the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. Upon winning a bid on a vehicle or piece of equipment, the buyer is required to print and sign his or her name stating that they have read and understand the terms and conditions of the City of Solon. The buyer then must submit this affidavit along with their payment or the City of Solon shall have the right to annul the contract without liability. See Terms and Conditions, under Auction Disclaimers.

Equipment may be paid by certified cashier’s check, credit union cashier’s check issued by a Federal or State charted credit union, traveler’s checks, postal or commercial money order, or cash. Checks should be made out to the City of Solon. Cash payments must be in US currency (No Credit Card or Wire Transfer are available for payment). Title (where applicable) will not be transferred until payment is received and verified. An 8% Buyer’s Fee will be collected on each purchase. Payment shall be submitted to the City of Solon Fire Department at 5595 Harper Road, Solon, Ohio, 44139 with Administrative Assistant Margie Advent. Full payment is due within seven (7) calendar days from Notice of Award. Equipment may not be returned nor will the buyer be reimbursed any funds for any reason subsequent to the sale. The City reserves the right to sell equipment to the highest overall bidder and to accept or reject all bids received; some or all equipment is subject to reserve (minimum) bid price.
