Prospective bidders will not be allowed to test, operate or disassemble any item featured in an auction.

Payments by local units of government must be in the form of a check drawn from the organizations account. If payment is not brought in at the time the asset is removed then the local government will be billed for the amount. There is no cost to Indiana state agencies.

All items sold to a local unit of government or state agency must be used for official use only. Employees of local units of government or state agencies are prohibited from obtaining this property for their personal use.

All property is located in the Indiana State Surplus warehouse at 601 W. McCarty Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN. The Buyer, designated representative, or common carrier must provide a copy of the email award notification received from GovDeals and personal identification such as a Drivers License or BMV ID.

Local units of government bidders must bring in Letter of Authorization on letterhead. They must also present a Blank Purchase Order or Claim Voucher.

All items must be removed within 14 business days (Monday through Friday) from the date of issuance of the Notice of Award unless a clause is indicated in the sale notice. Property will be released with proper documentation.

Successful bidders are responsible for removal of any and all property awarded to them from the address shown above.

Indiana State Surplus personnel will assist in loading property if requested by the Buyer. Under no circumstances will anyone other than Indiana State Surplus personnel be allowed to operate material handling equipment on State property.

The State of Indiana will not be responsible for any personal injuries or damages to any vehicle or other equipment during the loading of property.

The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary for packing and transportation of the property. State agencies within Marion county may inquire about delivery options. Under no circumstances will Indiana State Surplus assume responsibility for packing or shipping. Property may be removed between the hours of 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding legal holidays or unless otherwise stated on the auction web site.

• The buyer has fourteen business days from the time and date of the Notice of Award to inspect, and take possession of the item by physically removing the item from the state’s premises, and

• an asset left in the possession of the state for more than fourteen business days is deemed to be the buyer’s property that the buyer has abandoned, and

• abandoned property left in the state’s possession will be disposed of at the state’s sole discretion with no possibility of a refund to the buyer.

Please note that upon removal of the property, all sales are final.

Description Warranty. Seller warrants to the Buyer that the property offered for sale will conform to its description. Any claim for misdescription must be made prior to removal of the property. If Seller confirms that the property does not conform to the description, Seller will keep the property and refund any money paid. The liability of the seller shall not exceed the actual purchase price of the property.
