Questions and AnswersQuestions and Answers
Q: Has an appraisal been done? (11/22/19 9:24 AM)
A: Yes the item has been professionally appraised. (11/22/19 11:52 AM)
Q: Hello would you kindly advise on the reserve? (11/23/19 9:24 PM)
A: we do not provide reserve information. (11/25/19 10:03 AM)
Q: Why is this relisted? (12/4/19 3:01 PM)
A: Did not sell the first time, bidder defaulted (12/5/19 7:02 AM)
Q: Why would you not say what the appraisal price was or provide a copy of the appraisal? That seems a little dishonest personally. I mean to not tell anyone what the appraisal was but have a $2400 starting price and a reserve you won't disclose seems like someone is about to be scammed. How are we to believe what you are stating the cut, clarity and color, not to mention the total carat weight are without any proof an actual license gemologist appraised the item? Are you a gemologist? Are you a diamond expert? If not, anyone can just say that these are the actual specs and con people into running up the price. There isn't even a picture of the word "platinum" or " PT" or " Plat" followed or preceded by the purity of the platinum. (12/4/19 11:55 PM)
A: We have posted a PDF file from the company that did the appraisal. We will not be posting the appraisal value as that is a subjective value. (12/5/19 12:49 PM)
Q: Very odd not to disclose the appraisal. More than likely you will see this piece in the appraisers store. (12/10/19 10:00 PM)
A: Ok thank you for your comment. However this is a forum for questions. (1/3/20 7:43 AM)
Q: Is this listed due to a second default? (1/2/20 5:17 PM)
A: yes (1/3/20 7:41 AM)
Q: can you post a picture that shows the C/B Jacob and Co stamp? (1/2/20 9:23 PM)
A: Ok we have posted them (1/3/20 9:01 AM)
Q: imho, with a sales tax of 7.000000% *PLUS* a buyer's premium of 12.50%, you're going to severely limit the number of bidders willing to even get *close* to your reserve bid. just my 2¢. (1/8/20 5:26 PM)
A: ok thank you (1/9/20 11:12 AM)
Q: You stated that you will not post the appraisal value because it is a subjective value. The whole point of an appraisal by a certified gemologist is to provide an objective value that is based on current market conditions and the principles and standards of gemology. Was the appraisal done by an accredited gemologist? Do you guarantee that the description is accurate? (1/9/20 2:18 AM)
A: yes we guarantee that the description is accurate. (1/9/20 11:13 AM)
Q: What is clasp made out of or is it platted? (2/5/20 4:15 PM)
A: yes we believe so. (2/7/20 2:42 PM)
A: NO it has not been sold (2/10/20 1:02 PM)
Q: Is necklace platted platinum or just the clasp? (2/10/20 1:00 PM)
A: as stated in the advertisement Necklace is Platinum (2/10/20 1:03 PM)
Q: I find this very interesting that you can after viewing ALL the complaints about your auction description and lack of information (appraisal) still think you are doing either yourself or your patrons any favors! Obviously if the item is still for sale and people feel that you are not being honest with your style of auction listing. Perhaps you should take a lesson from the thousands of other auctions on this and millions of other sites available around the internet. They list as much information as possible so that a bidder can feel confident they are not going to get screwed. They have enough information to make an EDUCATED CALCULATION ABOUT THE VALUE of the Items PROFFERED (AS THE APPRAISED VALUE) THIS IS NOT A FIVE AND DIME SALE! (2/11/20 2:20 AM)
A: Ok thank you for your opinion. this is the information we have about the item. If you do not feel confident with the information you should consider not bidding. (2/11/20 8:17 AM)
Q: Hello, If paid in full will you ship ??? (2/11/20 10:10 AM)
A: No you can contact the local UPS stores they pickup and ship for many of our customers. (2/11/20 12:49 PM)
Q: What was the price it sold for previously that the buyer defaulted on? Thanks (2/11/20 7:42 PM)
A: We are not providing that information. But if you were a binder you can look back and find out. (2/12/20 7:15 AM)
