1850 Artifact Auger Own a piece of history

Hand Forged Iron Wooden Handled Auger Bit 19th C.; long iron drill with spiral end connected to a wide wooden handle.

The Department of Cultural & Historic Affairs is de-accessing artifacts from its collection from the Dey Mansion Museum. These pieces date out of the period of context for the Dey Mansion Washington's Headquarters and some are no longer viable for storage or display.

TAX CALCULATION & EXEMPTIONS


TAX CALCULATION: Sale Tax, where applicable, will be calculated and added at the end of the auction.

TAX EXEMPTION: Where taxes are applicable (see the Buyer's Certificate), Tax Exempt documents must be provided to Bidder Services at tax@govdeals.com within 24 hours of the auctions close and before payment is made. Bidders are encouraged to submit their Tax Exempt Documentation prior to the Auction's close to expedite this process. Please contact Bidder Services for all tax exemption questions.


RemovalRemoval
Removal is by Appointment Only (***48 hours notice is mandatory***), 9am-1pm, Monday to Friday and all items
must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of auction's close.

Purchases will
be released only upon receipt of payment as specified. Successful bidders are responsible for all loading and
removal of any and all property awarded to them. No Assistance will be provided.

***A $40 storage surcharge shall be imposed on the winning Auction Bidder if the sold Auction
items are not picked up within the ten (10) business days***

Special InstructionsSpecial Instructions
Default: Default shall include (1) failure to observe these terms and conditions; (2) failure to make good and timely payment; or (3) failure to remove all assets within the specified time. Default will result in termination of the contract, loss of 25% of purchase price of the asset, and suspension from participation in all future sales until the default has been cured. If the buyer fails in the performance of these obligations, seller may exercise such rights and may pursue such remedies as are provided by law. Seller reserves the right to reclaim all items not removed by the specified removal date.

NOTICE: If you are the winning bidder and default by failing to adhere to this sellers terms and conditions your account with Liquidity Services WILL BE LOCKED.

Guaranty Waiver. All property is offered for sale “AS IS, WHERE IS.” Passaic County, NJ (Seller) makes no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability or fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale. Please note that upon removal of the property, all sales are final.

Description Warranty. Seller warrants to the Buyer that the property offered for sale will conform to its description. Any claim for misdescription must be made prior to removal of the property. If Seller confirms that the property does not conform to the description, Seller will keep the property and refund any money paid. The liability of the seller shall not exceed the actual purchase price of the property.
