This pillar jib crane is located at the UW's former Consolidated Laundry building in the Ranier Beach neighborhood of Seattle, WA. Viewings & winner pick-up will be by appointment only (see below).
BACKGROUND INFO: This equipment is located in the University of Washington Consolidated Laundry Building, 2901 27th Avenue South, Seattle, Washington, 98144. The facility permanently closed at the end of March, 2019 Please see our other auctions for all remaining equipment being sold off from this site.
INSPECTION: The equipment will be available for inspection by appointment at the University of Washington Consolidated Laundry Building, 2901 27th Avenue South, Seattle, Washington, 98144. Equipment may be inspected between the hours of 9:00am to 3:00pm PT, Tuesday, April 28th. Appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. TAX CALCULATION & EXEMPTIONS
TAX CALCULATION: Sale Tax, where applicable, will be calculated and added at the end of the auction.
TAX EXEMPTION: Where taxes are applicable (see the Buyer’s Certificate), Tax Exempt documents must be provided to Bidder Services at firstname.lastname@example.org within 24 hours of the auctions close and before payment is made. Bidders are encouraged to submit their Tax Exempt Documentation prior to the Auction’s close to expedite this process. Please contact Bidder Services for all tax exemption questions. APPLICABLE TAXES: Washington State sales tax is included in the total sales price to be paid by the Buyer to the University of Washington. All taxes, duties, fees, assessments or other charges imposed by any federal, state municipal or other governmental authority which the University of Washington Surplus Property is required to collect or pay with respect to the provision of the sale shall be the responsibility of the Buyer. Buyer acknowledges that the sale occurred in Washington State and Washington Sales Tax may apply to the sale of the property. Buyer will provide the University with a copy of reseller or tax exemptions certificate if it is claiming tax-exempt status (in addition to providing such documentation to GovDeals); UW Surplus must keep a copy on file for its records..
Property may be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer's Certificate.
The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. No Assistance will be provided. A daily storage fee of $10.00 may be charged for any item not removed within the 10 business days allowed and stated on the Buyer's Certificate. Buyer will be responsible for de-installation, disassembling, crating, rigging, transporting, and/or shipping the Equipment from its location at the University of Washington Consolidated Laundry Building. Buyer or buyer’s agent will be responsible for risk of loss to the Equipment from the time it initiates the transportation process. Equipment may be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Equipment must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer's Certificate. Seller shall de-energize all equipment utility mains and lock-out/tag-out safe prior to Buyer commencing any de-installation work. INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS: Prior to initiating the removal of this equipment, the Buyer, or their vendor, shall provide the University of Washington Surplus Property at 4515 25th Ave NE, Seattle, Washington 98105, with a certificate of insurance evidencing proof of the insurance requirements.

Guaranty Waiver. All property is offered for sale 'AS IS, WHERE IS.' University of Washington Surplus Property, WA makes no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability or fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale, and no claim shall be considered for allowance or adjustment or for recession of the sale based on failure to inspect property. Bidders who do not preview the equipment understand and acknowledge that they may not be able to inspect an item as well as if they examined it in person. It is the Bidder’s responsibility to determine condition, age, genuineness, value or any other determinate factor. Bidder shall be the sole judge of value. Please note that upon removal of the property, all sales are final.
Description Warranty. Seller warrants to the Buyer that the property offered for sale will conform to its description. Any claim for misdescription must be made prior to removal of the property. If Seller confirms that the property does not conform to the description, Seller will keep the property and refund any money paid. The liability of the seller shall not exceed the actual purchase price of the property. TRANSFER OF TITLE: Seller confirms that it has clear title to the property. Title and ownership will transfer to Buyer free of any liens, claims, charges or encumbrances at the time payment is received by the University and Buyer takes possession of the property.
HOLD HARMLESS: Buyer will defend, indemnify, and hold Seller harmless from and against any damage, cost, or liability for any or all injuries to persons or property arising from the transportation, use, or sale of the property to the extent not caused by the negligence of the Seller. Buyer further agrees to hold the Seller harmless from the acts or omissions of the Buyer, Buyer's employees, agents, or subcontractors, however caused.
