Questions and AnswersQuestions and Answers
Q: Can we partially disassemble for pickup? Is there any hazardous waste with the unit? Do you know what is it made of? I didn't notice the weight before I bid. But I will follow through as to not damage my account. Thanks Brandon W. (1/10/20 9:03 PM)
A: It may be possible to partially disassemble for pickup. The large stainless steel component is mounted to the table top, we are just unsure exactly what sort of fasteners are involved. The only thing of note is evidence of rodents. This unit is currently stored outdoors so that it will be safe to handle. There is no other evidence of any hazardous materials. (1/13/20 9:30 AM)
Q: If the unit is sitting outside, can you please post pictures of its current location? Is it protected from the elements at all? (1/15/20 6:57 PM)
A: It is only going to be outside for two more days. This was at the request of our EHS team to mitigate the rodent waste. It will be moved back to a protected location Friday afternoon. There has been no precipitation this week while it has been outdoors. (1/16/20 9:57 AM)
Q: Is there anyone at the university that has knowledge about this instrument? Are there any manuals available? I noticed there is a door on the end. Is it possible to get additional pictures especially of the interior? The main controls have some writing on the panel. Is it possible to get clear pictures of the writing? (1/16/20 8:33 PM)
A: Unfortunately the faculty member that used this for research has retired. No manuals were included with the unit. We will post a couple more photos later this afternoon. (1/17/20 3:28 PM)
