Inspection

Most items offered for sale are used and may contain defects not immediately detectable. Bidders may inspect the property prior to bidding. Walk-in inspections are welcome between 12:00 and 4:00 Monday through Friday ET (excluding University Staff holidays).

Payment

7% State sales tax will be charged to Indiana residents as well as buyers who pick up and pay for items at our location.

Payment in full is due no later than 5 business days from the time and date of the Buyer’s Certificate.

Acceptable forms of payment are Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, cash, certified cashier’s check, Money Order, and personal or business checks with bank letter guaranteeing funds (mandatory). Checks should be made payable to Purdue University and mailed (ATTN: Susan Ticen) or delivered to 700 Ahlers Dr., West Lafayette, IN 47907. Payments may be phoned to 765-496-2222 between the hours of 12:00 and 4:00 Monday through Friday ET (excluding University Staff holidays).

TAX EXEMPTION: If you are Tax Exempt, you MUST provide your tax-exempt documentation to this Seller PRIOR to making Payment. If no exemption certificate is presented tax will be collected and no refunds will be given. Contact Susan Ticen at sticen@purdue.edu for further information.

Removal

Property may be removed between 12:00 and 4:00 Monday through Friday ET (excluding University Staff holidays). 24 hours advanced notice must be provided. All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer’s Certificate.

The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading, and transportation of the property. Unless otherwise noted no Assistance will be provided. A daily storage fee of $10.00 may be charged for any item not removed within the 10 business days allowed and stated on the Buyer’s Certificate.

NOTICE: If you are the winning bidder and default by failing to adhere to this sellers terms and conditions your account with Liquidity Services WILL BE LOCKED.

Guaranty Waiver. All property is offered for sale “AS IS, WHERE IS". Purdue University makes no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability or fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale. Please note: Upon removal of the property, all sales are final.

Description Warranty. Purdue University (seller) warrants to the Buyer that the property offered for sale will conform to its description. Any claim for misdescription must be made prior to removal of the property. If Seller confirms that the property does not conform to the description, Seller will keep the property and refund any money paid. The liability of the seller shall not exceed the actual purchase price of the property.
