Questions and AnswersQuestions and Answers
Q: Dear Sir, Kindly inform the way to cross the water to mainland or if it can be float to cross the water? thanks (3/28/23 4:47 AM)
A: The item will need to be barged off the island. (3/28/23 7:43 AM)
Q: How many hours are on the excavator and does it run and function? (3/28/23 10:28 AM)
A: 7114 Hours and it ran when it was parked 2 years ago. New batteries will be needed to start it. (3/29/23 7:48 AM)
Q: What about the rest of the unit ? Does it run or what other obvious issues does it have other then the pontoon being worn out and can no longer float or be used as a pontoon excavator ? Please advise Thanks (3/28/23 1:31 PM)
A: The machine was functional and running when we last used it. It has been parked for approximately 2 years and will at minimum need the batteries replaced to run. The pontoons show rust deterioration. They will likely need patching, we can not guarantee watertight or floating status. (3/28/23 1:57 PM)
Q: --What are the dimensions of the machine as it sits? Width of tracks, length of tracks, longest length from end of boom to end of pontoons. --Did the machine have any mechanical issues when you parked it? --Any error codes or running issues? --Since this machine was working in salty/ brackish water and mud, can you provide additional photos? Since you are at a remote location, we would like to see a lot of photos of everything. Specifically, more photos of cab, in and out. Entire body of machine, Bucket pin and bucket, As well as the rusty pontoons and the holes you are talking about. --How far is the excavator located from your loading pier/ dock? --Will it be able to walk to the dock to be loaded on a barge? --Do all the doors open on the excavator or are they rusted up? --Can you take photos of the engine compartment and pumps and filters? --Do you have service records and manuals to would go with the machine upon the sale of it? (3/29/23 9:44 AM)
A: Trying to get the answers and more photos (3/29/23 12:59 PM)

A: The Machine is 39ft long X 21ft wide. The Pontoon Tracks are 4ft wide. When parked 2 years ago the machine was operational. It ran today on a Jump Box. No error codes when parked. Sitting 2 years unknown. Personnel were unable to get pictures. Approx 3000 ft. They open. Standard filters for a CAT 325C. Records will not be available with the sale. (3/30/23 7:43 AM)
Q: How tall are the pontoons? (3/29/23 11:54 AM)
A: Trying to get the answer to this question (3/29/23 12:59 PM)
Q: Besides the pontoons having holes in them so they won't float, the machine does still walk correct? We should be able to walk it to the barge loading location, correct? (3/30/23 12:38 PM)
A: When parked 2 years ago the machine was operational. (3/30/23 12:49 PM)
