Questions and AnswersQuestions and Answers
Q: Does a top of any kind come with this Jeep or 62 model either? This is for sure a 4wd? Thanks (3/26/20 11:27 PM)
A: There are no tops for either of the jeeps. Yes, they are both 4WD. (3/27/20 11:29 AM)
Q: $10,000 ? Is this a repost item ? Thanks (4/11/20 8:31 AM)
A: Yes this is a re-list. The jeep had a reserve of $10,400.00 on it earlier this week and the highest bid was $10,200.00. We offered it to the highest bidder for their bid but they declined. We lowered it to $10,000.00 with no reserve so everyone can see where its at. A $10,000.00 bid or higher will own this jeep. This jeep runs and drives great. Body and frame is in great condition. There is a small amount of rust on the rear where the old steel tank was. You can see it in the pictures and video. (4/12/20 12:00 AM)
Q: It looks as if this jeep was respirated red after it was acquired by your department t You can clearly see that it was a dessert tan color originally and repainted red due to the red paint not covering the tan in the engine compartment , and also in the tub area you can see the original tan color under the red near the toolbox area seat etc. it was also not sprayed in primer when the jeep was respirated red Did you guys buy it used or just had it repainted when you acquired I know it’s been repainted you can see it Also are you keeping the old Mack ww2 era Mack pumper I see in the background open cab or going to sell it to eventually just curious Price seems a little high but you might get someone to pay that for it if you are lucky (4/13/20 2:14 PM)
A: The jeep was originally a light lime green. We have owned it since new. At some point in the past all of our truck were all changed to red so it was repainted. The 1942 Mack is not for sale at this time and will stay in our fleet. (4/13/20 3:05 PM)
