Used/See Description Automobiles (Classic/Custom)
Cocke County Emergency Management has for sale a 1952 Korean War M38 Jeep Willy's. Vehicle runs and drives and is in great shape. Vehicle has new battery and does not appear to have any problems or issues. The only mechanical issue we have found is front driver's signal light isn't working. Vehicle has a few minor paint chips but is in overall great condition. Vehicle has been used for parades and was in a museum at one time. Vehicle shows a few miles over 6,000, body and interior are clean, with no rips or stains. The engine runs well. Tires in excellent condition - see pictures.

Great fun to drive off road and registers 60 mph. Vehicle must be seen to appreciate the quality and the history. Vehicle has been stored inside a building for the last few years. This vehicle has a flat hood and fenders and a flat four-cylinder engine stamped with the Willy's name, information that I have found says that it is a Willy’s L134 nicknamed “Go Devil” engine. The transmission is three-speed with hi/lo and 2/4-wheel drive. Front windshield folds down and everything works on the vehicle to include the cigarette lighter. Vehicle does not need anything and can be driven from the Emergency Operation’s Center. The photos do not do the vehicle justice. This is a vehicle that I would be proud to own. Vehicle is being sold AS-IS. TN Title and in hand. Thank you and if you have any questions please ask.

Seller added the following information on 10/10/2018 9:51 PM:
We have been asked to verify this is a Willys M38 - The title itself states it is a M38. Also the vehicle has options you see on a M38 - Tie Down Brackets, Built in Shovel & Ax Holder and the Original Holes where the Machine Gun was originally mounted. We purchased this from the US Forest Service. The Forest Service had the roll bar, seat belts & signal lights installed to meet the standards for a Forest Service vehicle. Please ask if you have any questions.
