Q: Do you know what color the lights are? And are most of them intact except the one? (12/5/22 8:22 PM) A: All of the lights were submitted in unknown condition. Because they were submitted without controllers, and because these appear to be the newer style lights, it is recommended to treat them as "poor / broken condition." All potential bidders are recommended to arrange an inspection prior to bidding. (12/6/22 10:03 AM) |

Q: The light bars seem to have corrosion on the metal parts a heavy yellow film on modules. Were they exposed to salt air/water? (12/6/22 12:34 PM) A: Galveston County is a Texas Gulf Coast entity. The materials mounted on the vehicles and the vehicles themselves in the Texas Gulf Coast are often subject to salt air and (more seldomly) salt water. Please read the Inspection section (below). All potential bidders are recommended to arrange inspection prior to bidding. (12/6/22 12:44 PM) |

Q: Do you offer shipping? (12/6/22 3:53 PM) A: Galveston County cannot offer shipping, packing, strapping, or preparation. Shipping and packing is solely the responsibility of the winning bidder. Bidders are encouraged to consider transport methods prior to bidding. There are vendors within Galveston County who have, in the past, arrived after the bid has been won and have performed the necessary packing and/or shipping. Additionally, some winning bidders have contracted with independent contractors to prepare winning items for shipping and then had a shipping company arrive to retrieve the items. (12/6/22 4:23 PM) |
