Payment:

Payment in full is due not later than 5 business days from the time and date of the Buyer’s Certificate. Checks shall be made payable to: City of Columbia. Payments shall be made at the location listed in the Buyer’s Certificate.

RemovalRemoval
Removal: All items must be removed within 10 business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer’s Certificate. Purchases will be released only upon receipt of payment as specified. Successful bidders are responsible for loading and removal and any and all property awarded to them from the place where the property is located as indicated on the website and in the Buyer’s Certificate. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. Under no circumstances will the City of Columbia assume responsibility for packing, loading or shipping. See special instructions on each auction page for removal details. A daily storage fee of $10.00 may be charged for any item not removed within the 10 business days allowed and stated on the Buyer’s Certificate.

Payment. Payment in full is due not later than 5 business days from the time and date of the Buyer’s Certificate. Acceptable forms of payment are: U. S. Currency; Certified Cashiers Check; Money Order; or Company Check (with Bank Letter guaranteeing funds – mandatory).

Checks shall be made payable to: City of Columbia.

State Sales Tax. The Missouri State Sales Tax of 7.975% will be collected from the successful bidder for residents of Missouri in addition to the awarded bid amount. If the property being purchased from the City is for resale, a Certificate of Resale will be obtained from the successful bidder in lieu of the 7.975% Sales Tax. The certificate is only required if item is purchased for resale. This sales tax will be manually added to the invoice at the time the successful buyer picks up their item(s). In order for Buyer to be tax exempt, they must provide one of the following: a. Proof that Buyer is a Missouri out- of-state resident – (i.e.. Driver’s License); b. Provide Sales Tax Exemption; c. Complete Certificate of Resale.
