Questions and Answers

Q: Is there a loading dock or are there any stairs or other obstructions in the way to move this item? It does not look like there is enough room under the machine to fit a pallet jack. How do you suggest a person would move this onto a trailer? Would it be possible to bring a buyer supplied forklift in to move it? (1/21/23 11:53 AM)
A: This machine should NOT be put on a pallet jack. You will have to bring a forklift to move it yourself - we cannot help move the machine in any way. (1/24/23 8:43 AM)

Q: I see an overhead door behind the planer. Is there pavement or concrete leading up to the door for a forklift to drive in on? FYI planer weighs 3000 lbs. Can you post a picture of the main cutter head motor tag? Almost certain it is 3 phase but would also like to see the HP and voltage listed on it. Thank you. (1/24/23 2:36 PM)

Q: I believe the motor that says it's single phase is the feed motor. Can you take a photo of the main motor (big motor that drives the cutter head?) it's possible that is 3 phase. (1/26/23 9:29 PM)

Assets offered for sale are used and may contain defects not immediately detectable.
Payment
Wire Transfer is the only payment option for this item. The Wire Transfer Transaction Summary page will provide payment and account information. The Wire Transfer must be completed within 5 days unless otherwise specified below. PAYMENT IN FULL DUE WITHIN FIVE (5) BUSINESS DAYS from the time/date of the Buyers Certificate. Removal
Buyer MUST PICK UP ASSET WITHIN TEN (10) BUSINESS DAYS from the time/date of the Buyer’s Certificate. If asset is not picked up within ten (10) business days, Seller may instruct GovDeals to DEFAULT the Buyer and re-auction asset. Buyer MUST MAKE APPOINTMENT 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE to pick up asset by calling 301-766-2840. Buyers who failure to make an appointment may be refused access to the asset and instructed to return after the appointment is made. Pick up appointments are available: September – May: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 2:00 pm – NO EXCEPTIONS June – August: Monday through Thursday, 8:30 am to 2:00 pm – NO EXCEPTIONS Buyer MUST make ALL logistic and physical preparations necessary to remove asset from Seller’s property - SELLER WILL NOT ASSIST – NO EXCEPTIONS. Seller will not be responsible for any injury or damage sustained during the removal of the asset. Buyer MUST bring or arrange for ALL appropriate equipment, supplies, personnel, and vehicle needed to move and load asset - SELLER WILL NOT ASSIST – NO EXCEPTIONS. Deconstruction of any kind to the Seller’s buildings or property when removing asset is PROHIBITED. Buyer must possess and present a government-issued photo ID to the Seller at time of pick up as proof of identity. If using a third party to pick up asset on your behalf, Buyer MUST FIRST complete and sign this AUTHORIZATION of RELEASE then email it to the Seller, otherwise Seller will NOT give third party access to asset – NO EXCEPTIONS. Third party must possess and present a government-issued photo ID to the Seller at time of pick up as proof of identity.

GUARANTY WAIVER: All assets offered for sale “AS IS, WHERE IS.” Seller makes no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability or fitness for any purpose of the asset offered for sale. The Buyer is not entitled to any payment for loss of profit or any other money damages – special, direct, indirect, or consequential. DESCRIPTION WARRANTY: Seller warrants to the Buyer that the asset offered for sale will conform to its description. Any claim for asset(s) inconsistency must be made PRIOR to removal of the asset. If Seller confirms that the asset does not conform to the description, Seller will keep the asset and refund “Actual Sold Amount” – “Buyer’s Premium” amount is excluded from refund. The liability of Seller shall not exceed the actual purchase price of the asset. PLEASE NOTE THAT UPON REMOVAL OF THE ASSET, ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
