A.M. General Corp M998 Humvee
LOW MILEAGE!! This unit was military surplus property loaned to our village for use during inclement weather such as regional flooding. This unit was never submerged for those purposes but was used in high water as a resource to rescue stranded residents. This unit is missing battery cables due to severe deterioration; however, it did run when the batteries and corroded cables were removed. At last check the Humvee ran as intended without any known issues. There are 4 additional desert brown doors and top. The High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV), better known as the Humvee, was a series of lightweight military trucks and utility vehicles. When the army opened a contract to create an updated generation of multipurpose utility vehicles, Chrysler Defense and Teledyne Continental both produced a design, but AM General won the contract with the HMMWV. These military vehicles were built in a wide array of body styles and specifications depending on their intended task, and were available with a range of V8 engines, yet all were built with a 4x4 drivetrain. The AM General Humvee has been in production for over nearly forty years, with various evolutions having been built. The Humvee would not only prove an incredibly capable vehicle, but its popularity spawned a successful commercial version, the Hummer H1.

Q: What engine does it have? AC or Heat? Armor? Underbody rust? (3/18/23 3:23 PM) A: 6.5L Diesel we believe standard for this build. No AC, but does have heat, there is various rust spots similar to what you see in the pictures on the underbody. Inspection is recommended. Note: Vehicle has been garage kept. (3/20/23 4:56 PM) |

Q: Hey there, Is there an Ohio (On Road) title for this unit? I see No Restriction in the header but I just need some clarification.
