Up for auction is 1 structure in Hinckley Reservation scheduled for removal and possible reclamation.

The structure is listed as: • The 46’ x 30’ two-story Worden Barn

The structure contains materials that are reclaimable. Successful bidder shall be entitled to all barn siding, roof flooring, floor joists, roof rafters, interior wall planks, doors, windows, barn beams and barn stone foundation.

The said structure will be disassembled, removed and the land is to be returned to its natural state. All materials will be removed from the site upon demolition. Use of a tub grinder and any burning of materials on site is prohibited. All materials removed from property shall be reclaimed or disposed of in accordance with all local, county, state, and federal laws. All foundation holes or damage to existing turf from demolition activities must be filled with clean fill and graded to the existing land then seeded for grass.

Sold “As Is, Where Is”. Successful bidder will be responsible for removal of above items within 30 business days of purchase with no Cleveland Metroparks assistance. Removal method shall be approved by Cleveland Metroparks. Cleveland Metroparks shall have the right to inspect the removal operations. The highest bidder shall be required to repair any turf or paved trail damaged during removal. Potential bidders are encouraged to inspect the structures prior to bidding. The successful bidder (including any and all contractors/subcontractors) shall be required to demonstrate that they have the required skill, experience, equipment and manpower to accomplish the removal of the structures in a safe and timely manner. The successful bidder shall be required to sign a permit with Cleveland Metroparks, which among other conditions will include a release and indemnification provision to Cleveland Metroparks and insurance requirements for commercial general liability and automobile liability, each coverage having a limit of not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence with Cleveland Metroparks named as an additional insured. In the event the successful bidder is a business enterprise that will utilize employees for the work, the bidder must show evidence of coverage by a Workers-Compensation policy. A certificate of insurance evidencing the aforementioned insurance coverage shall be provided to Cleveland Metroparks prior to the commencement of work.

PLEASE NOTE THE LOCATION FOR THIS BARN IS APPROXIMATELY 888 LEDGE ROAD, HINCKLEY, OHIO. The Fairview Park location is where payment and paperwork is to be made.
