Vandercook #17 Composing Room Cylinder Letterpress.

The Vandercook #17 is a composing room cylinder letterpress. This model employs an automatic cylinder trip, carriage-mounted ink rollers, and an angled feed board with a “sheet hopper” which helps to guide paper to the automatic under-cylinder grippers. Weight: 1100lbs. Bed: 17" × 31½ " Maximum form: 17" × 25" Floor space: 40" × 60"

The form rollers are new, and a plexiglass feed board with a side adjustment gauge has been fabricated to replace the original feed board which was missing when the transferring department acquired the press. All other parts are original and the press has been completely refurbished.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS ITEM IS NOT STORED AT THE UNIVERSITY SURPLUS FACILITY, IT IS STORED IN A LOCATION ON CAMPUS. THE WINNING BIDDER WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PICK UP ARRANGEMENTS AND FOR THE COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PREPARING THE UNIT FOR SHIPPING, PICKING UP THE UNIT AND TRANSPORTATION.

ITEMS MUST BE PAID FOR WITHIN 5 BUSINESS DAYS AND PICKED UP WITHIN 10 BUSINESS DAYS OF AUCTION CLOSING during normal business hours of 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday. Pick up of items MUST be completed by 5:00 PM. We will not pick, pack, or ship.

Inspection
Most items offered for sale are used and may contain defects not immediately detectable. Bidders may inspect the property prior to bidding. Items are available for inspection from 8:00 AM through 4:00 PM Monday through Friday (closed on University holidays).
Payment
The Buyer's Certificate will contain information to schedule payment & removal. Payment in full is due not later than five (5) business days from the time and date of the Buyer's Certificate. Acceptable forms of payment are: U. S. Currency, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and wire transfer.
Removal
Property may be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer's Certificate. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. No Assistance will be provided. A daily storage fee of $10.00 may be charged for any item not removed within the 10 business days allowed and stated on the Buyer's Certificate.
