2011 Chevrolet Caprice Police Sedan 4-DR, 6.0L V8 PPV. DETECTIVE/ADMIN MODEL,
Vehicle is currently in service and mileage may differ slightly at time of sale.
Manufactured by GM Holden Australia, these vehicles were only imported for a short period of time to the United States for law enforcement use.
Using the tried and true GM LS Series big block engine, this is a rear wheel drive vehicle with traction control and antilock brakes.
It has all power options and ice cold A/C.
No dash lights are on and everything works as it should.
This low mileage example is a rare Detective/Admin model and has the full center console with floor shifter in lieu of the flat floor mounted center console with a column shift found in the Patrol model, otherwise the cars are identical in specification.
This particular car spent most of its time as an "assigned" detective vehicle and only recently received the markings you see in the photo's where it was a "spare" unit.
This car has no history of traffic accidents.
The car has been maintained to a high standard with oil changes every 3k miles,
Recent work includes new tires and brakes,
the car has a full size spare and two new batteries in the trunk, one for engine one for equipment.
The car has cloth front seats in black and a vinyl rear seat in black, it has rubber flooring front and rear.
KNOWN DAMAGE: As of last week it was struck in the right rear by a deer which caused some slight damage to the passenger rear wheel fender lip, no paint damage or cracking noted.
The drivers seat has a small tear in the back rest from equipment.
Both key fobs included with sale though both are currently inoperable.
This vehicle is for sale to either a law enforcement agency or private citizen, as shown in the photos it is fully equipped for service at this time.
If the winning bidder is a law enforcement agency all lighting equipment consisting of an overhead LED light bar, dash mounted strobes, deck mounted strobes, rear license plate mounted strobes, side strobes in the front fenders, siren/PA, controller, prisoner partition, dual antenna radar, computer mount will be left in the vehicle. No, radio, camera or computer will be included in the sale. The markings will be removed at the time of sale.
If the winning bidder is a private citizen all law enforcement equipment and markings will be removed at the time of the sale.
The vehicle is available for inspection at the Watkinsville Georgia Police Department during weekdays from 9:00 to 5:00.
For more information or to schedule an inspection please contact Chief Tetterton using the Ask A Question feature.
|Questions and Answers|
Q: I know the mileage on odometer is 36k plus but what the idle hours on this vehicle? (8/1/21 9:52 AM)
A: The instrument cluster does not have an option to show engine hours so I cannot answer your question, I would say that they are consistent with the miles. This vehicle was assigned to a detective who sat in an office except when driving point to point. He did not sit in the vehicle with it at idle like the patrol officers do all the time. (8/1/21 10:17 AM)
Q: Could you please take a couple photos of the engine bay and post them? (8/1/21 9:53 AM)
A: Just took three photos, posting them now. (8/1/21 10:17 AM)
Q: Can you tell me how much the reserve is (8/2/21 9:01 AM)
A: Policy does not allow for the disclosure of the reserve on any auction of City propert. (8/2/21 9:14 AM)
