Auto-bid

As a bidder, you don't have to constantly watch auctions and worry about being outbid! All GovDeals Internet Auctions feature an auto-bid. In the bid box on the auction view page, enter the HIGHEST dollar amount that you are willing to pay, and the GovDeals bidding system will bid on your behalf by placing a bid at the current LOWEST minimum bid. If another bidder outbids your LOWEST minimum bid, the system will automatically place another bid, once again making you the current high bidder, until your "top dollar" number is reached. The auto-bidding system will continue to place the LOWEST minimum bids on your behalf until you are the winner of the auction or another bidder bids higher than your auto-bid. Auto-bids are completely private and are never displayed to other bidders. In the event of a reserve price auction, your auto-bid will immediately bid up to the amount of the reserve OR to the max amount of your auto-bid if the reserve price is in excess of your auto-bid.

Bid Extension

If a bid is placed during the final 3 minutes of an auction, the auction will automatically extend for additional 3 minutes. This will continue until no bids are placed during the last three minutes.

Since most bidding occurs during the final minutes of an auction, this allows all bidders a sufficient amount of time to continue bidding.

Probation Level 1 Bidding

This Seller has instituted a Bidder Probation Restriction on this auction. To have this restriction removed, a $1,000 refundable deposit in the form of a Certified Cashier's Check or U.S. Postal Money Order must be mailed to GovDeals, Inc., 100 Capitol Commerce Boulevard, Suite 110, Montgomery, AL 36117. Once 60 days have passed GovDeals will return this bid deposit.

Because of the size of this machine and the equipment needed, the 10 day deadline will be extended an additional 5 days.

This is located at a correctional facility and certain criteria will need to be met before being allowed entry into the facility. The buyer should contact Chad Taylor to request the information.

Physical Location of Asset: Mt. Olive Correctional Center and Jail, 1 Mountainside Way, Mt. Olive, WV 25185.

This shear was in operation until it was retired around July 23, 2020. It is operable.

Includes 2 blades - one new and one used.

Only the shear and extension arm are being auctioned. The other assets in the pictures are not included.

This shear has been unbolted and moved within the building for easier access. It has been lifted upon wooden cribbing with equipment dollies (casters) so it can be rolled out of the building easier. The casters are not included with this auction.

Dock Measurements: Two - 45.5" and 47".

The buyer will need to furnish the equipment to load it which will require a crane to lift it from the dock to the trailer. The trailer used to haul the shear should accommodate the size and weight of the shear.

The employees at the location cannot help with loading.

All items must be removed within 10 business days from the date of WVSASP's approval or the buyer will be defaulted. If the buyer is defaulted, GovDeals will refund the purchase price plus any taxes. THE 5% BIDDER FEE IS NOT REFUNDABLE if you default.

Purchases will be released only upon receipt of payment as specified. Successful bidders are responsible for loading and removal of any and all property awarded to them from the place where the property is located. Partial loads will not be allowed to leave the property. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. No Assistance will be provided. ITEMS AUCTIONED ARE FOR PICKUP ONLY. PACKAGING AND SHIPPING ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BIDDER. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED.

Person removing the items must provide a copy of their Buyer's Certificate at the time of removal as the Buyer's Certificate serves as Proof-of-Purchase. Items will only be released to the winning bidder unless prior arrangements have been made with WVSASP. The prior arrangements must be e-mailed to WVSASP@wv.gov from the e-mail address that is listed on the Buyer's Certificate and give their permission and the name of the 3rd-Party agent that will remove the items for them. If using a 3rd-Party agent for removal, buyer must provide agent with a copy of their Buyer's Certificate. Items will not be released and the removal will be delayed until WVSASP receives the above required information.
