Western Kentucky University is auctioning a 1998 New Flyer Transit Bus in used condition. Purchased used with approximately 800,000 miles from an agency in Texas; added 14,689 miles since purchase. Primary use for this bus was public transportation. Detroit diesel engine; 50 series. Does not run and needs repair. Engine is not getting fuel, and needs new batteries. Other repairs needed are unknown. Removed from service in November of 2020. Allison automatic transmission is operable. Vehicle was maintained every 6,000 miles. Red, white, and black exterior. Decals have been removed but impressions remain. No cracked glass. Minor dents, scratches, and dings typical for high-mileage vehicle. Blue, gray interior, cloth and vinyl, in good condition. No damage to dash/floor. Thermo-King T11-M31 Air Conditioning system is operational and runs cold. 4 Axis security cameras; support equipment to operate the cameras is not included.
