1986 BlueBird International 1853 BUS, 7.6L L6 DIESEL. The bus is in driving condition and the Title is clear. School Bus comes with Handicap Lift in running condition. This bus was maintained according to CDE regulations from the date of purchase to the time we took it out of service to sell. The bus is selling in as-is condition.

Q: When was the bus taken out of service? Can you include additional photos of the wheelchair lift door on the side. Also engine and tire photos would be great. (2/2/22 7:10 AM) A: The bus was last serviced in May of 2021 and passed emissions at that time. The bus was taken out of service the next month because we had new ones and the student needs were better served with the new buses. I will upload pictures and a video of the bus engine running this evening when I have better internet service. Our bus area do not have good internet access. Q: Is this bus safe to drive on the highway? Starts right up without issue? Also, do you know the interior height? (2/2/22 7:05 PM) A: The bus is safe to drive on the highway and starts good without issues. The tires are also in very good condition with a lot of tread on them. The interior height is 6'2" in the center. It passed the emissions test in May of 2021 just before it was taken out of service and had the annual inspection done December of 2020. Q: Is it geared for highway use? Essentially, can it maintain 60+ MPH without exceeding 2500 RPM? Thank you! (2/4/22 1:21 PM) A: All of our buses have governors installed on them to limit their speed. I am not sure if this particular on was set for 60 or 65 mph. It can be taken off. Q: Was the engine and trans on this a swap? I ran the Vin and it comes back as a 2016 bus, so I'm wondering if it was rebuilt at some point. (2/24/22 12:04 PM) A: To the best of my knowledge the engine and transmission are the originals. I went completely through the life file for the bus and did not see any engine and transmission swap done. The bus has 213433 actual miles on it. Q: Is the left rear behind the wheels rusted? I’m having trouble viewing it well in the photos. Also, how much notice would you need for a preview appointment? Thank you! (2/25/22 4:58 PM) A: The body does have so rust behind the wheels on the left side body. The frame of the bus is clean with very little rust if any. The rust on the left side is just skin rust. I do not need a lot of notice if you would like to view it. Property may be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance. All items must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of the close of the auction. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. No Assistance will be provided. Bidders will be locked unless a prior arrangement has been made for any item not removed within the 10 business days allowed and stated on the Buyer's Certificate.
