2009 Fire Pump Simulator manufactured by FD International

Information from the manufacturer (FD International) can be found here: FD International

The Fire Engineer Training Simulator is a portable device that can be used for training and re certifying pump operators as well as performing annual apparatus pump training. This simulator is rated for 1500 gpm.

The Training Simulator is equipped with multiple computer controlled intakes that recirculate the water back to the tank eliminating the use of a public water supply, or the need to find a location to “draft” from a stationary water source. The Training Simulator can be set up at various locations allowing training to be conducted at district fire stations and eliminating the removal of apparatus from their response district.

Pump operator training can be conducted using a number of scenarios initiated by the training officer. The computer controlled inlets measures the gpm flow of each discharge, creates simulations of restricted fire flows, and hose failures. Relay pumping can also be simulated with the Training Simulator. The computer also measures and records the action taken by the pump operator allowing for a documented record of the completed training and/or annual re certification.

The simulator has different "hose groups" for training. This means that with four attack lines, the instructor can call up different hose lengths, for different pressures, to give different views and create a wide variety of conditions and problems for the student to solve.

This unit has been out of service for the past year - everything at that time was fully operational but current condition is unknown.

Decals will be removed and some impressions may remain.

Most items offered for sale are used and may contain defects not immediately detectable.

This equipment is surplus and is sold AS-IS/WHERE-IS It is the responsibility of the bidder to inspect the equipment prior to bidding. See the inspection instructions below.
