scrap water meters of various sizes (5/8", 1", 2", 3" and 4") constructed of lead-free high copper alloy with a cast iron bottom, bronze case and register cover, and stainless steel screws. The meters are on pallets and weigh approximately 2600 pounds total. These are water meters taken out of service that are being sold as scrap metal. Note: Please inspect items prior to placing a bid. Inspections are by appointment only between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Monday - Friday, excluding legal holidays. Inspection: Most items offered for sale are used and may contain defects not immediately detectable. Bidders may inspect the property prior to bidding. Bidders must adhere to the inspection dates and times indicated in the item description. Payment in full is due not later than 5 business days from the time and date of the Buyer's Certificate. Acceptable forms of payment are: US Currency (exact change required), Certified Cashiers Check, or Money Order. Cashiers Checks or Money Orders shall be made payable to Murfreesboro Water and Sewer Department. Removal: All items must be removed within 10 business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer's Certificate. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. Property may be removed between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., Monday - Friday, excluding legal holidays. A daily storage fee of $10.00 may be charged for any item not removed within the 10 business days allowed and stated on the Buyer's Certificate.
