Payment

Payment is due in full no later than 5 business days from the time and date of the Buyer’s Certificate. Acceptable forms of payment are Cash, (for the exact amount of the sale) Certified Check, Money Order, and Traveler’s Check.

Payments can be mailed to Cleveland County Finance Dept, PO Box 1210, Shelby, NC 28151-1210 or delivered in person at 311 E. Marion St. Shelby, NC – Administrative Building, 2nd floor, Payments Unit.

Special Instructions

PAYMENTS: Payment is due in full no later than 5 business days from the time and date of the Buyer’s Certificate. Acceptable forms of payment are Cash, (for the exact amount of the sale) Certified Check, Money Order, and Traveler’s Check.

REMOVAL: All items must be removed within 10 business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer’s Certificate. Purchases will be released only upon receipt of payment as specified. Bidders are responsible for loading, removal, packing and transportation of the sold property. Under no circumstances will Cleveland County assume responsibility for packing, loading or shipping the items. Property may be removed between the hours of 8:30 am – 4:00 pm excluding lunch hours of 11:30 – 1:30 and holidays.

VEHICLES: All vehicles sold from Cleveland County will require the title to be filled out with buyers name, address, mileage and date of delivery. No blank titles will be released.
