Q: What is considered a restricted vehicle? (8/12/12 12:37 PM) A: I have contacted govdeals the restricted is primarly for vehs. that still have emergy. equipment and can only be sold to other govt. agencies. I had used the restricted cause of the veh. not having a emission certificate and persons residing in a county requiring emissions are not eligible to bid on the veh. Thank you for your inquiry (8/13/12 11:55 AM) |

Q: If a person is highest bidder from a county requiring emissions does the auction default to the highest bidder NOT in a county requiring emissions? Or does it get relisted. Also if it defaults how do you notify the winner?
Thank you. (8/21/12 6:49 PM) A: It varies, we could offer the purchase to the next bidder, or we could relist the ad again. If the winning bidder resides a county that requires emissions they should not be bidding on this veh.. The ad clearly states it will not be sold to a person residing in a county requiring emissions. If the winning bidder elects to bid on the veh. knowing that they reside in a county that requires emissions, the item will not be sold to them, and will be listed as bidder default, failure to comply with requirements.
