1996 Chevrolet 1500 4X4 Truck: 5.7L V8 Gas Engine that does run. Vehicle was maintained every 3,000 miles, removed from service on 7/15/12. Transmission is operable and is automatic. Interior is vinyl and red in color; Exterior is red. The driver's door handle latch is intact, but will not unlatch the door. There is an AM/FM radio, AC runs cold, air bag on driver side, cruise control, tilt steering, power doors and steering. There is no cracked glass, minor scratches, dents and dings, decals have been removed, but impressions remain. The passenger side tail light area has a minor dent. The truck has a Rhinoliner bedliner installed. The emergency equipment has been removed and there are holes in the exterior. Item may be inspected prior to bidding, by appointment only. | Inspection: The item listed for bid is being sold in "as is" condition and no warranty or guarantee is assessed to the condition of the contents. Bidders may inspect the property prior to bidding. Payment in full is due not later than 5 business days from the time and date of the Buyer’s Certificate. Acceptable forms of payment are: U. S. Currency, Certified Cashiers Check, Money Order, or a Company Check (with Bank Letter guaranteeing funds – mandatory) Checks shall be made payable to: City of Piqua, Ohio Attn: Finance Department, 201 W. Water St., Piqua, OH 45356.

Removal: All items must be removed within 10 days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer’s Certificate. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including removal, loading and transportation of the property. The successful bidder must take all contents of the lot they purchased. Property may be removed by appointment, excluding legal holidays. Call Asst. Fire Chief Brent Pohlschneider at (937) 778-2013 to schedule an appointment for picking up your item. The City requires the removal to be completed within 10 days of the purchase date. The high bidder expressly will assume all dangers, risks and hazards regarding the item removal and if the high bid is accepted, shall therefore release, protect, indemnify and hold harmless the City of Piqua, its agents, employees and assigns, from and against any and all claims, demands, causes of action and damages of any kind, including but not limited to, attorney's fees and litigation costs resulting from any accident, incident or occurrence arising out of or in any way resulting from the removal of the item, whether or not caused by the City of Piqua's negligence.
