Inspection

Bidders may inspect the property prior to bidding by making an appointment by calling 404-802-3775. Items are located at the LSS Dept,VDT Service Center, 1631 LaFrance St., Atlanta, GA 30307. Hours of inspection are between 9:00a.m. and 2:00p.m.

Payment

Payment(s) must be made within five (5) business days, from 8:30a.m. – 2:00p.m., after being notified of winning bid(s.) Payment not received within this time will result in default and are subject to penalties or being awarded to next highest bidder. Acceptable forms of payment are: Certified Cashiers Check or Money Order. APS WILL NOT ACCEPT CASH. Checks and money orders must be made payable to “Atlanta Public Schools” and must be made at the Office of Procurement Services located at 130 Trinity Avenue, SW, Fourth Floor, Atlanta, GA 30303. (This is a different location from where the property is stored.) Winning bidders must contact the Procurement Services office at 404-802-2532 to schedule a payment date and time, if paying in person.

Removal

All pallet lots must be removed from the LSS Dept.,VDT Service Center within ten (10) business days from the date and time of issuance of the Buyer’s Certificate sent to winning bidders. a. Winning bidder is responsible for contacting LSS Dept. staff, 404-802-3775, to schedule pick-up date and time for removal of their purchased pallet lot(s), b. Property may be picked up at the LSS Dept., VDT Service Center, 1631 LaFrance St., Atlanta, GA 30307, between the hours of 9:00a.m and 2:00p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding legal and school holidays, c. Upon arrival at LSS Dept., VDT Service Center, Buyer must present Receipt of Payment, appropriate Pallet Inventory Form(s), for each lot purchased and photo ID. NOTE: if Buyer sends representative for removal, the representative must present required items as designated above in 4.c, d. Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary including packing, loading and transportation of the property from the warehouse loading dock. e. Pallet lot items not removed from the LSS Dept., VDT Service Center within ten (10) business days from the date and time of issuance of the Buyer’s Certificate will be immediately disposed or destroyed.

Atlanta Public Schools (APS-Seller) makes no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability, workmanship or fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale.
