Apparatus – 1970 Ford F900 - TANKER – 3000 gal. capacity. Starts with a boost. (Batteries may need to be replaced) 429 Gas Motor, Operable condition, Transmission - Automatic, operable condition. Exterior - Red in color, avg. dents, dings & scratches however, damage to left mirror, rear tail light lenses. Emergency equipment has been removed, holes remain from antenna removal. Please see photos. All tires holding air. All glass intact. Interior - Black Vinyl average wear and tear. Tank has 3000 Gallon Capacity. Light bar and siren included. 2 Large storage compartments. Large dual mirrors. Date removed from service 1/1/11 - Replaced by newer model.
Decals remain, however they must be removed by winning bidder before vehicle leaves premisis.

Q: Are there any mechanial issues that need to be dealt with, I plan on driving it 500 miles. Thanks BW (1/27/12 8:08 PM) A: It ran when we parked it over a year ago. It will need a boost to start. The furthest it was driven while in service may have been 30 miles round trip. Empty it ran fine. However, I would not gaurantee it to make a 500 mile trip. (1/29/12 3:36 PM) |
