Q: what is the reserve price (9/3/12 4:47 AM) A: We do not publish our Reserve Prices. In general, we calculate a Reserve Price based on the low end of standard industry dealer wholesale valuations for used vehicles (i.e., NADA, Kelly Blue Book, Edmunds.com), prices we have received for similar vehicles at recent auctions, and the Vehicle Information Form that we complete upon receipt of the vehicle and completion of a visual/basic inspection. The Reserve Price is the price we are willing to accept for an item, and we are under no obligation to complete the transaction when our Reserve Price is not met. We assess any high bid that is less than the Reserve Price to determine if it would be in the state’s best interest to accept the high bid. If not, we will list the vehicle for auction again the following month. (9/3/12 8:51 AM) |
