James Island Public Service District (Seller)makes no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability, workmanship, or fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale. The buyer is not entitled to any payment for loss of profit or any other money damages - special, direct, indirect, or consequential. NO REFUNDS. NO EXCHANGES. Payment: Payment in full is due no later than 5 business days from the time and date of the Buyer's Certificate. On the 6th day the bidder will be considered non responsive. Payment not received in 5 business days will result in default, and are subject to penalties. In accordance with SC Dept. of Revenue, Dealers, Wholesalers, Scrap etc., are Exempt from SC sales Tax (with proper licensing and verification). Private individual purchases of vehicles will be taxed 5% with a maximum of $300.00. Non-vehicle purchases will be taxed at 8.5%. Acceptable forms of payments are: U.S. Currency; Certified Cashiers Check; Money Order made payable to "JIPSD." Payment must be made at the Administration Building @ 1739 Signal Point Rd, Charleston, South Carolina 29412. Bidders must contact the Finance Office at (843)795-9060 to schedule a payment date and time if paying in person. Removal: All items must be removed within 10 business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer's Certificate. Purchases will be released only upon receipt to payment as specified. Successful bidders are responsible for loading and removal and any and all property awarded to them from the place where the property is located as indicated in the Buyer's Certificate. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property. Under no circumstances will the District assume responsibility for packing, loading, shipping. Property may be removed between the hours of 9:00a.am. and 3:00p.m., Monday through Thursday, excluding legal holidays. ANY ITEMS NOT PICKED UP IN 10 BUSINESS DAYS WILL BE SUBJECT TO A $10.00 PER DAY STORAGE FEE; PAID IN CASH OR CERTIFIED FUNDS. Consideration of Bids: James Island Public Service District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to withdraw from sale any of the items listed.
