MOVEABLE BASKETBALL GOAL Ref# JA 087

Description: This is a large and heavy item. This is an older model portable (moveable on wheels) basketball goal manufactured by the Porter Company. The unit moves up and down by means of a hydraulic system powered by an electric motor (no extension cord provided). When the unit is fully down 4 metal wheels are extended to pick up the weighted base and allow the unit to be rolled to a new location. Some of the plastic covering is missing from the wheels. The padded vinyl covers show some wear and may need to be recovered. There is a key to allow secure operation of the unit (one key provided). The weighted base measures 48” x 80”. The unit measurements are 77” wide x 148” long x 69” high (when collapsed). The ½ “ tempered glass backboard measures 72” x 44”. The rim measures 10 foot from the floor when fully extended with a 9 ½ foot extension from the base. Total Weight of the unit is not known (guess is over 3600 lbs.). The unit does move up and down and seems to work well. There is a mechanical lock to secure the unit in the upright position. Winning bidder is responsible for all labor, materials, and transport needed for removal of the property. The University has a 5000 lb forklift that can move the item; however we will not prepare, pack or ship items.
