This water slide could not be utilized at Prospect Pool, the pool that was chosen to remain open, due to its physical layout. The foot print of the slide is 41 feet wide by 50 feet long. The water slide includes pump and all appurtances, and is sold "as is and without warranty." Inspection by be arranged by appointment only. Contact at 814-949-2231. Removal shall be made by appointment made within at least 24 hours in advance. All items must be removed within 60 days from time and date of issuance of the buyer's certificate. The buyer will make all arrangements and perform all necessary work, including unassembly, removal and transportation. NOTE: PLEASE REFERENCE THE LAST PICTURE AS THE BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR RESTORING THE PROPERTY TO THE ORIGINAL GRASSY AREA. Q: what is the mesurements (9/13/12 8:25 PM) A: The space that the slide takes up is 41 feet wide by 50 feet long by 22 feet high to the top railing. Although we did not measure it exactly, research on the internet at the Miracle website, indicates that the slide is 160 feet long. There steps are comprised of 3 landings, which make it less steep for riders to climb. I hope this answers your question. (9/14/12 9:38 AM) |

Q: DO YOU HAVE GUESSTIMATE ON HOW MUCH WOULD COST TO DIS=ASSEMBLE AND LOAD (9/14/12 11:52 PM) A: It would be quite expensive. A crane and operator and other heavy equipment would be needed during the removal process which could take 1-2 weeks. We have no price estimate. (9/17/12 10:06 AM) |

Q: What happens if you do not get any bids on this item? (10/17/12 9:49 PM) A: The reason we relisted was we had an interested buyer, but that buyer found a slide in a state closer to his state. If this listing does not pan out, one of two things will happen: (1) the City Fathers will allow the slide to be demolished as part of the project at the pool site where a spray park is to be installed -- that was going to happen when a neighboring municipality no longer wanted our water slide for their park -- or (2) the City Fathers could follow Third Class City Code Rules IF they found an interested buyer with whom to enter into negotiations. We could not do this after the first auction because we had a reserve price affixed to the auction. The problem with doing this now is once we have a firm commitment to announce at a City Council Meeting, 30 days must elapse - pushing into the winter season here in Pennsylvania. This water slide is a wonderful asset. To demolish it would be such a shame, when someone could be enjoying it set up elsewhere. (10/18/12 9:58 AM) |
