Description: Description: This 1999 Ford Crown Victoria was used as a marked and unmarked police department vehicle. The vehicle starts and runs well. It has working AC / Radio / power windows / automatic door locks / spot light. No rust. Has some holes from removed electronics and some loose wires from same. Holes in roof from emergency equipment. No cracked glass. Passenger air bags may not work due to bypass switches for emergency equipment. Stated mileage may vary no more than 20 additional miles because vehicles are being driven short distances weekly to avoid storage problems.

It is advised that bidders inspect the property prior to bidding by contacting the police department and scheduling an appointment.

Payment in full is due not later than 5 business days from the time and date of the Buyer’s Certificate. Acceptable forms of payment are: U. S. Currency, Certified Cashiers Check, or Money Order. Title will be transferred to the person/dealer listed on the GovDeals buyers certificate unless otherwise requested. Town Hall Office hours for making payment in person are 8 AM -4:30 PM Monday Through Friday (closed holidays)

Checks shall be made payable to: Lake Placid Police Department, and sent to: Surplus property Auctions Office Attn: Chief Phil Williams, 8 North Oak Avenue, Lake Placid, Florida, 33852.

Removal: All items must be removed within 10 business days from the time and date of issuance of the Buyer’s Certificate. The Buyer will make all arrangements and perform all work necessary, including packing, loading and transportation of the property.

Property may be removed by scheduled appointment only with Chief Williams.

A daily storage fee of $10.00 may be charged for any item not removed within the 10 business days allowed and stated on the Buyer’s Certificate.

Guaranty Waiver. All property is offered for sale “AS IS, WHERE IS.” The Town of Lake Placid (Seller) makes no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability or fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale. The Buyer is not entitled to any payment for loss of profit or any other money damages – special, direct, indirect, or consequential.

Seller warrants to the Buyer that the property offered for sale will conform to its description. Any claim or “mis-description” must be made prior to removal of the property. If Seller confirms that the property does not conform to the description, Seller will keep the property and refund any money paid. The liability of Town of Lake Placid shall not exceed the actual purchase price of the property. Please note that upon removal of the property, all sales are final.

The Town of Lake Placid reserves the right to reject all bids.
